The business license fee is calculated based on gross income and the type of business. Our staff will be glad to assist you in determining your specific classification and resulting fee.
South Carolina Code, Section 5.7.30 authorizes municipalities to levy a business license tax based on a business’ gross income.
You can pay your utility bill in person at City Hall, or the Dropbox outside of City Hall. You can also mail in a check or money order.

City Hall is open 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
New water, sewer, and garbage service is done at City Hall during business hours. You will need to fill out an application for new service, provide the appropriate proof of ownership or lease, and pay a $110 deposit.
You will need to come into city hall to fill out a permit application.
City Council meetings are the first Tuesday of each month. If you want to be put on the agenda to speak, please notify City Hall in writing, no later than the Thursday before. You can also speak at the meeting without being on the agenda, but there will be a two-minute time limit.
If you come in before 4pm, water service can be connected that day, if there is a water technician available.
Residential trash pickup for the east side of the City is done on Tuesdays, and the west side of the City is picked up on Mondays. Trash containers should not be placed out before 6 pm the night before, and not after 6 pm the night of pickup.
