Flag Park

The park showcases a collection of eleven flags, comprising six in honor of our esteemed men and women in uniform, four representing various governments, and the POW/MIA flag. Additionally, the statues within the park serve as a tribute to Felix "Doc" Blanchard, the sole Heisman Trophy recipient from South Carolina.

Lee State Park

Lee State Park, one of several Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) parks in the state, was established in 1935 with the primary objective of offering riverside recreational opportunities to the residents of Lee County, South Carolina. Situated along the Lynches River, which is partially safeguarded from development by the state of South Carolina, the park boasts a picturesque hardwood forest floodplain that provides an ideal venue for kayaking and canoeing excursions. Additionally, fishing enthusiasts can indulge in the abundance of catfish along the riverbanks, while children have the opportunity to catch fish in the park's artesian pond.

With its diverse array of natural habitats and wildlife, Lee State Park serves as an excellent setting for engaging nature walks and educational programs. The park also features convenient equestrian facilities. Lee State Park stands as one of the few remaining CCC parks that proudly exhibit the classic Conservation Corps architectural style.

Pearl Fryar Topiary Garden

The Pearl Fryar Topiary Garden, located in Bishopville, South Carolina, is a meticulously crafted three-acre garden that serves a distinct purpose. Its creation encompasses the intertwining elements of botany, sculpture, community, perseverance, and artistic inspiration. Being self-taught and equipped solely with a hedge trimmer, Fryar dedicated over two decades to expertly crafting and upkeeping extraordinary and awe-inspiring topiaries, frequently utilizing plants salvaged from a nearby nursery.

South Carolina Cotton Museum
